40 Years of Storefront
for Art and Architecture

The Challenge
The Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York celebrated its 40th anniversary in fall 2022 with a new visual identity. Built around a dynamic custom typeface, the system reflects the discourse around civic space that has always been at the core of Storefront’s work. The program was used in graphics for a retrospective exhibition at the gallery, Public Space in a Private Time: Building Storefront for Art and Architecture, and for the Anniversary Benefit hosted at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, the first time the annual event was held in person again since the pandemic.

The Solution
Within the Pentagram team Jen, as a lead designer in the project, started by creating typography animations for the website and social posts with the variable font by Jangs Müller Type Foundry. After that, collaborating with the Storefront team, my primary responsibility was to design and produce large-scale graphics for exhibitions at the Storefront for Art and Architecture space and designed all the printed materials for both the exhibition and gala below.

Have A nice showcase is valuable to a brand identity, Here are the 3D mockup I created specifically for this project using C4D.

Environmental Graphic Design
Following the same approach, I created the logo animation for the exhibition.
